- Don’t bathe in saltwater. Please do not wash with seawater or soaps because they can further irritate the skin. Also, bathe with cold water.
- Put cold cloths on the burn and moisturize the skin very well with nourishing products. Try to make sure they contain in their ingredients: Centella Asiatica, vitamin E, lavender, hyaluronic acid, or aloe vera gel.
- Avoid products that contain benzocaine or lidocaine.
- Beware of blisters. If your skin has blisters, dry bandages may help prevent infection. If your skin does not blister, you can apply moisturizer to improve discomfort.
- Take analgesics for pain. Take Ibuprofen or Paracetamol because they help relieve the pain of burns. Because your skin is inflamed, you can take an aspirin or a generic anti-inflammatory.
